Ed has been my PT since July 2021. As a Type 1 Diabetic, Ed has helped me to have excellent blood glucose control with reduced insulin dosage. My HB1AC is 47, which is just above the normal range for a non-diabetic person. Ed is helping me to prevent long-term Type 1 diabetes complications through good wellbeing. My other goals were to learn about technique rather than just to lose weight. 10kg so far – just another 1kg to go before starting the bulking phase. Ed’s obsession with technique in a very supportive way helps me perform better in my own training sessions for fast goal accomplishment. At the start of my fitness reboot last year having been an on-and-off gym member as both a type 1 and non-diabetic person, I was lost with what to do, frustrated, my weight yo-yoing and I could not hold my bodyweight for hanging leg raises or do a one-minute plank. Now, I am learning good technique. Also, I realise that strength and non-weight body measurements are more important than weight. Because of Ed’s fantastic support, weight training is an important part of my healthy life. Oh, I can now do planks with ease and those hanging leg raises…

I’ve had sessions from Ed in the past when I used to be a member at a different gym. He was awesome even back then, but I only had a session once every other week and I wasn’t always putting in the right effort myself.
Roll on the past three months; I knew I wanted to get great shape, and I knew Ed was the man to go to! I’ve been having 2 sessions a week for 8 weeks and he absolutely beasts me.. so much so that I only really need to do 1 session myself a week, but I usually do more as Ed sets some great workouts to crack on with.
When you’re looking for a PT you want someone who “looks the part”, someone who looks how you want to look. Ed is that man, and I don’t know many people who wouldn’t want to have muscles half the size of Ed’s. He’s amazing. If you want PT - he’s your man.

I signed up for a 6-week block with Ed after having four months of eating what I wanted and not turning up to the gym for a list of excuses.
I had a consultation with Ed where we discussed what I wanted to achieve during this initial period and he created a tailored nutrition and training plan, followed up with continuous support and weekly check-ins. Ed prioritises accountability which has motivated me to make better lifestyle choices rather than this process being a short-term commitment.
Due to my previous injuries resulting in a limited range of motion in my ankle, Ed helped me modify exercises and ensured my form was correct which to me is important when learning new exercises. A gym is a place where everyone can achieve their goals and Ed will simplify these to make sure you reach them.
I will continue to train with Ed twice a month following nutrition and training plans purely because I now enjoy turning up to the gym, having a plan, and feeling good!
6–8-week challenges can be daunting to sign up for, however, my advice would be to do it. Ed is very approachable, knowledgeable, and results-focused.
